  1. Got all nostalgic reading Grantland’s recent article on the history of Nintendo. Googled Howard & Nester, and this was one of the first results to pop up. Admittedly, I stopped reading Nintendo Power years before it ended its run. I had no idea Nester had a son, but I still got something in my eye while reading this. Nintendo is awesome.

Here’s one last Nester comic to close out Nintendo Power, which is shipping its last issue this month. Artist Bill Mudron killed it here (the comic, not the actual magazine).

I love that Nester framed and hung his mentor’s bowtie in his Nintendo room. Make sure to go out and buy the last issue for more nostalgia from the publication’s 24-year run.

  4. Just received Zelda OOT in the mail yesterday, so spent lots of time playing it. Of course, this means I have Zelda’s Lullaby on repeat in my head. Such a nice melody, it just takes me back to my happy place. Which happens to be a warm day at the ballpark with a cold beer. But, to each their own.

In the last hours of the Dunan Unification War, Jowy prepares to flee his country. He leaves behind one of the few people who ever accepted him and loved him unconditionally, and it pains him. Notice how the curtains in the background are tied together, like hands holding each other.
